Lesson 1

LAY ASIDE, WAIT and SEE

      Lay Aside

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us LAY ASIDE every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us." (Hebrews 12:1).

So, the Bible/God is telling us to LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT and SIN!

"Every"/any "weight" that would pull you down... Any weight, any weight, any weight...LAY IT ASIDE.  (This is not always easy to do, but is always necessary!).

...And EVERY SIN - INCLUDING YOUR OWN!!! - LAY IT ASIDE!  (This can be even more difficult, but nonetheless - unequivocally - called for!).

      Wait

This is the hardest part

Wait...for what?"  ...To just "get over" whatever it is that you laid aside...sort of like "counting to ten?" ...No.

Now, pay very close attention to the following, as it is one of the first three Spiritual Laws:

"IN EVERY NEGATIVE IS THE SEED OF A GREATER POSITIVE."

The key words above are: Every, Seed and Greater!

Every: There is no exception to the rule, for this is a related fundamental Spiritual LAW of Balance.

Seed: Another word that could readily be used in the place of Seed is Potential!  Because, just as the ultimate value of a seed is only realized if it is planted, every negative carries the potential of a greater positive only if it is "leveraged" to "bring forth."  Waiting is "the soil" that "brings forth" the potential of every negative!

So, That is Why we Wait.  (There are also many scripture references that say, "Wait on the Lord.").

      And See

Therefore, again, what is it we are waiting for?...  To SEE the GREATER POSITIVE!!

It is not easy, never fails, and is definitely worth the effort!

What is the alternative?  To let the negative be negative.

The bottom line is a hot/cold, "good news/bad news" type of scenario: Negative things can either advance us, or move us backward!

Test it out for yourself.

...Coincidentally (or not) I just came across the quotation below.  Like many quotations its wisdom more apparent than the, "How to," which is provided above.

"Do not not allow yourself to be upset by small things that should be despised and forgotten.  Neither lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that, in a year's time, will be forgotten by us and by everybody. No, devote your life to worthwhile actions and feelings, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring undertakings."

Lesson 2: "Leverage"
