Leverage
Lesson 2 may be viewed as a "cousin" of Lesson 1 ("Lay aside, Wait and See"... even as the principle of leveraging was mentioned in lesson 1 ["Every negative carries the potential of a greater positive only if it is 'leveraged' to 'bring forth'"] as an explanation of "Seed/Potential.") or - further - a more simple form of lesson 1! Additionally, where Lesson 1 is a passive or reactionary example of leveraging, Lesson 2 ("Leveraging proper") sets forth a deliberate or purposed application.
Two key people in my own experience qualified the profound force of Leverage. They were Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (The Power of Positive Thinking) and Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad). Another celebrated author who dedicated an entire book (You Can Work Your Own Miracles) to the subject was Napolean Hill (best know for his Self Help classic, Think and Grow Rich).
Leverage is easily the greatest and most powerful single understanding of wisdom that exists; and surely the ultimate "secret" of every highly successful person throughout history.
As coincident in, "Lay Aside, Wait and See" (Lesson 1) development and application of the Leverage principle requires effort. That is the "price you have to pay." In a world of Cause and Effect there is always a price or cost for any good obtained; and in the context of, "You get what you pay for," the more something costs, the better (for that only means you are ultimately getting something better)! But if you take into account another principle mentioned in Lesson 1 - "In every negative is the seed of a greater positive" - then a clearer idea of how Leverage works may be realized! Because - accordingly - whatever degree of difficulty there may be in Leveraging, is always significantly outweighed by its associated reward! The same is conveyed in scripture: "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." (2 Cor. 4:17; and Heb. 12:2)!
O.K, enough of introduction; let us get to it. This is as real (life) as can be.
The best way I can think of to elaborate and for you to understand is by coincident examples. Then moreover, I can keep adding such illustrations as is appropriate. Additionally, please be mindful, there are virtually infinite applications of Leverage - so I could never possibly delineate upon them all! It is for you to comprehend the principle and then exercise its benefit commonly.
Example # 1
I will begin with an instance that may occur first thing in the morning...You wake up late!
So, let us in general consider this as a negative eventuality. Hence, we want to DEVELOP THE HABIT of (immediately) responding something like as follows (because the instant something "negative" happens there are two paths we can take: One is to react - negatively - to what has taken place; the other [superior/"Leverage"] "path we can follow" is to immediately think): "How can I turn this negative into a greater positive?" Or, in other words, "How can I Leverage this situation?" Or think: "LAY ASIDE, WAIT and SEE!" This (latter) response unequivocally takes us along a different path than if we had just reacted negatively (The potential implications of that alone are far-reaching!). Plus you will have effectively qualified yourself for the definite associated greater positive!! In perfect timing (sooner or later) it will unfailingly manifest. I have proven this Lesson countless times, and continue to, ongoingly - though it always involves a certain (though quite worthwhile) degree of difficulty!
So that is the basic "formula" to apply whenever "it goes south"/something negative happens - which generally seems to be about "50 times" a day!! ...Again...
Immediately think: "How can I turn this negative into a greater positive?" Or, in other words, "How can I Leverage this situation?" Or think: "LAY ASIDE, WAIT And SEE!"
Example # 2
You are running to the shower (because you woke up late) and you stub your toe!
Stand by...
Lesson 3: "We Think In Pictures!"
